Mandroid has been around for a while. He cut his teeth as a sample based hip hop producer with Amsterdam’s Robotix crew. Fifteen years chopping samples is a long time though, and this approach slowly gave way to the use of software synths and a journey to the stylistically distant solar system of synthwave.
